Take a hike!

Exploring the great outdoors is on a hike is something the entire family can enjoy with dad. You could even bring lunch for a post-hike picnic!

Head to a baseball game!

Take dad out to a ball game, whether it be professional, minor league or even a community softball game. Don’t forget the peanuts and Cracker-Jacks!

Go bowling!

Head to the local bowling alley for a fun activity the entire family can enjoy, rain or shine.

Go fishing!

You don’t need expensive fishing equipment to enjoy a relaxing day reeling them in with dad. All you really need is a line, a pole and some worms for bait!

Head to the park!

An open field is full of possibilities! You can have a picnic, play catch, fly kites, or have a game of kickball!

Visit a historic site!

If dad is into history, you could head to a local museum, war memorial or historic site. Educational and fun!

Ride bikes!

A bike ride somewhere scenic is a great way to spend a warm Father’s Day afternoon. Be sure to wear a helmet!

Have a cookout!

Grab some hot-dogs and burgers and let dad play grill-master for a fun and delicious Father’s Day barbecue! If you don’t have a grill, head to the local park–they usually have public grills you can use!

Build something!

If dad’s a handyman, he’ll probably enjoy building a birdhouse or working on a similar craft with the kids. Younger children can do the painting if they’re still too little for tools!

Have a movie night!

Spend the evening watching one of dad’s favorite flicks. Ordering his favorite pizza or making his favorite snacks or dessert will make for a perfect end to a fun-filled Father’s Day!
